To Place a Data Change Tee

  1. Select the Data Change Tee option from the Fittings gallery.
  2. Select the placement point on the main pipe run.
  3. Select the direction of the branch end. The main pipe run is split into 2 runs and the Split Run dialog displays listing the runs.
  4. Click on the run you would like to edit and click OK.
    Note: The original run is identified by the tag number listed in the dialog.

    The Properties dialog displays.

  5. Define the desired run properties including the tag number in the dialog.
  6. Click OK. The Properties dialog displays again prompting for information for the branch run.
    Note: If the Tag Dialog Prompt option is disabled in the PID Document dialog, a default tag number will be used for the branch run, and normal placement procedures will apply. You can edit the run via the Element Info dialog after it has been placed.
  7. Enter the tag number, size and any additional property values for the branch run. If you do not want to place the branch run at this time, Cancel out of the dialog.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Place the branch run using normal placement procedures.
  10. When finished, move to the next placement position or right-click to end the command.
